We (Studio Bergtraun) have been working with KS Construction on a new home in Alpine Meadows and it has been a great experience. We designed a very modern residence that is complex in its simplicity and Kevin embraced the technology and detailing to make it all come together smoothly with a high quality result. The undertaking was extensive, and presented particular difficulties due to the nature of the pre-remodel floor plan, the home being constructed of logs, and the general complications of building in the Tahoe area (code restrictions and weather). However, all of these challenges were successfully navigated, and the additional complication of our primary residence (and thus us) being over 500 miles away was never an issue.

...we were also impressed by the working relationship with Kevin and his crew during the process. There were changes and modifications, some introduced by ourselves and others which were excellent ideas suggested by Kevin. These changes were handled in a professional and courteous manner by KSC. Would we hire KS Construction again? Absolutely!

I have done several large scale remodels and one almost all-new construction.  KS Construction was by far the best company I have worked with. Reliable, honest, and high quality without and surprises. If you are lucky enough that they are available, hire them.

Kevin and his staff really understand the requirements of mountain area construction, and the needs of those who live in the mountains. He oversaw a major remodel for me and I could not be happier with the results. Kevin has also continued to follow up on the project and continues to provide excellent results.

Kevin's crew followed his lead in maintaining the highest of standards... He would anticipate problems before they even occurred, and always managed to come up with solutions to any challenge that would arise...I could not give Kevin higher marks – he was always thinking, anticipating, and paying close attention to every detail.

Kevin brought in the project on time and on budget and the quality of the work was superb. KS Construction has become the standard by which I judge all construction projects.

We were so impressed with the results from our first project with KSC that we offered them a spec home project on a lot we owned next to our home...Kevin's consultations, work ethic, honesty, determination and overall pride in his ability, and that of his crew, was outstanding!

Kevin took over after a bad experience with my prior contractor and did a fabulous job finishing my remodel. He is proactive, conscientious and very knowledgeable. I have found him to be a great creative partner, as well as being very fair and customer-focused in the way he runs his business.
